I enjoy the versatility of this gun as a pest/varmint/small predator killer. I carry it on my farm daily. I especially want to thank Midway for the expeditious shipment of the gun. I ordered it on a Wednesday and I picked it up from my FFL dealer the very next day. Awesome service.

  2. Lisa benso

At my home in the SC Lowcountry, we have a wetlands behind us. This means many aggressive Water Moccasins, Alligator Snapping Turtles, Possums, etc. At my family home in the Midlands, there are spots where artesian springs pop up going down the hill. A veritable nightmare, there will be MULTIBLE Cottonmouths at every shelf going downhill. Too many for even my speed with a pump action, too tight of quarters to be able to wield a stocked semiauto 12 gauge. This fast handling auto is the answer. It is a great close quarters shotgun.

  3. Lakisha Crawford

There are only three reasons to purchase this weapon and one is to have fun shopping stuff. This “firearm” excels in this regard. It is a joy to shoot; I went through 50 shells of #6 in seven or eight minutes with no discomfort. Another valid purpose might be a truck gun the compact size and relatively high shell capacity lends it’s self to this application. Regardless of your intended use, if you have done your research and determined you have a need for this style “firearm” you should not be disappointed.

I’ve got a first gen in OD green, added the pistol grip from Mesa Tactical and the nordic +2 magazine tube extension. I also added an oversized rolling charging handle. I’ve gotta say, this is a really nice shotgun. I’ve put hundreds and hundreds of rounds through it, slugs, 00 buck, clay, steel, cheap, expensive… it doesn’t matter, it gobbles them up and spits them out. I’ve never once had a hang up, failure to extract, jam or anything of the nature and I’ve never cleaned it. It just keeps eating! It’s the home defense, the leas based bear spray and a lot of fun to shoot. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this purchase to a friend.

Best shotgun I’ve ever owned ! Slick action smooth as silk !

  6. Lisa sciotio

gotta wait a couple months.. let’s see how it turns out Would definitely recommend this purchase.

very short. good ergonomics. weighs around 8 lbs.takes some practice to rotate magazines(3 magazine tubes in the forearm). consistant patterns and holds 15 plus 1. It’s iwi so it works. takes a little practice to take down and assemble. do it once or twice and its easy.good companion for a tavor. hoot to shoot at the range with steel and clay birds on stands. great wow factor. have to look around to find a case that will fit it when you mount an optic

  13. Kenneth hunter

performed flawlessly. I ran low and high brass through it without any issues. I ran all the main brand shells as well without any issues. It will fire nearly as fast as you can pull the trigger under normal circumstances. I added a larger charging handle, steel tang safety, a colored aluminum tube follower (red), and a decent sling. With the ghost ring sight, there isn’t much need for any red dot or optics. I am happy with it and so glad I made my purchase a few years ago when they were still priced reasonably

  14. Ronald miller

Great gun, have had no issues with this gun at all! It will reliably do what it is supposed to do!

  15. Carlos Gomez

Took it out to the range for the first time with a full assortment of rounds. Everything from slugs, 00 buck to #7s and #8s. It went through everything flawlessly. Not a single malfunction through over 200 various pounds and rate of fire. Everything we shot were 2.75″ shells from various manufacturers. That really put me at ease when it came to possible reliability issues with this semi-auto. I have no problem depending on this gun if lives were on the line! My only take away is that I wish the coating was done in cerekote. I can already see some wear marks and scratches on protruding surfaces like on the top of the front sight. Other than that, I am extremely happy with this firearm!

  16. Cynthia Medina

    Well it looks great

  17. Walter king

Took this to the range….fired everything no problems. Shot a ton of birdshot which you think would cause issues….nope. Slugs no issues either. Handles well for a light shotgun. Sights are great. Will update as things progress. Seriously….no idea how the price is this low with extremely similar quality to the Benelli M2.

  18. Lydia George.

Product seems built very similar to the M2. YES it does come with the extension. That’s a big TOC from a company. Strong spring action and the bolt is clean. Have not fired it yet seems pretty awesome. It is common knowledge that especially with inertia actions you have to soften them up at first say 100+ rounds. All firearms are stiff brand new. Will see how it functions soon. For sure appears better quality than other so called budget shotguns.

  19. Dawn Frazier

For a long time I was on the hunt for a LTT 1301. While waiting, I started training for my first 3 gun match and purchased a 940 JM Pro Competition shot gun. After that, I lost most of my interest in the 1301. I’m sure the Beretta LTT 1301 is great, but the the 940 Pro is a really great, utterly reliable semi-automatic shotgun. I’ve put about 500 rounds through the 940 JM Pro Comp and about 100 through the 940 Pro tactical. I’ve not had a single issue. But this is a review about the Tactical variant. This exactly what I want in a home defense shotgun. It is short enough to move through an interior with. The receiver is already drilled and tapped for an optic. It has a place to mount a light. It is built on an utterly reliable platform. The 940 JM pro can 1500 rounds between cleaning. As near as I can tell it matches the more expensive platforms in function and comes with a price tag almost any budget can meet.

  20. pasha jones

Top notch fit, finish, and function. My subsonic recipe for G19/M9A4 goes super in the SP5, so I’m dialing in a sub load for the SP5. Eats everything I’ve fed it without issue. Price is a bit high in the presence of clones like the ZP5, but if I’m dropping the coin one way or another I’m going original every time.

  21. Brendaline pasha.

Great reliability and investment for a true Firearm

  22. Valero mccay

my father would tell me (buy once cry once). I hear people talk bad about HK’s because of the price and they would tell you that a clone is just as good, well they are only lying to themselves. most clones look the same on the outside but once you actually hold, disassemble, and shoot a real HK there is quite a big difference. Compared to my zenith clone that is made in the U.S.A the most noticeable difference is that the charging handle does not feel clunky and is very smooth when putting it into the locked back position. The trigger feels shorter and a has more crisp break to it. The safety selector is more stiff but you can feel it switch much better, compared to the zenith where the selector lever is kinda flexible and not as crisp and clean of a click feel to it.When disassembling it, not only you get to see all the cool date codes and proof markings but the quality into making it, you can find no marks on it from where they machine it(swirl marks).Shooting it feels kinda smilier in terms of recoil, but accuracy is a bit better for grouping,Im no expert in MOA and all that comes with shooting its just one of those thing you have to try and see for yourself. Life is a gamble and life is short save your pennies and make a move “I” don’t think you will regret.

  23. Sean nolan

Absolutely perfect firearm and it shipped quickly with the soft case, mags, sling, sight tool, and documentation. Midway USA plays some pretty dirty pricing games though and I’d suggest shopping elsewhere. Shortly after my purchase, the pistol showed up on their website at a lower price. Midway wouldn’t make an adjustment or offer a credit for the difference. This really isn’t in keeping with their Vision and Mission statement- specifically the bits about integrity and loyalty.

  24. Micheal flyod

The best rifle in the market

  25. Christine claxton

Ammofount the best place to buy riffles at very Good price

  26. Tracy smith

Had a few stove pipes to begin with but after a couple trips to the range it working well. this my go to weapon now.

  27. Amy banks

Features a smooth combat trigger with a weak reset that makes single handed shooting comfortable & has exchangeable grip modules in order to fit the hand correctly. In my experience, it’s very reliable. It hasn’t ever jammed yet on me. The grip contour attempts to reduce snag that largely benefits outside the waist band carry.

  28. Anthony graham

Zero scratches in the blued slide or coated frame, safety had firm positive clicks in either direction. Slide fitment and barrel lock up was very snug also, zero slop. I did not find any machining issues throughout, overall, very a beautiful firearm. I’m glad I picked this up, Midway shipping is super-fast and no issues at the LGS. Some bare aluminum is visible inside the frame (mag well) but I wasn’t too concerned with it just wanted to mention it.

  29. Jones levin

This gun has performed flawlessly.Just remember high quality mags like Wilson combat or Chip McCormick. Beautiful firearm! Please just replace factory set up with a EGW guide rod/recoil spring kit for flawless performance.

  30. Adrienne minkins

The only thing I don’t like is the gun’s a tad large, and heavy, but I’m willing to put up with that to keep from having to go to a smaller caliber.

  31. Hern mispo

This gun is a fun, accurate shooter, but mine is not good for defensive carry. I would recommend it for some fun shooting.
