I love it! My first subcompact build, but i have built 4 other polymer 80 lowers (2 full size, 2 compact size) and have yet to be disappointed. Great quality and a great price. Glad to see some things don’t change!
Vanammo –
Pretty good I like it and would buy it again
Vanammo –
Very reliable and very easy and amazing I work buy it again
Vanammo –
Was looking around everywhere and they were the only ones to have this in stock. They shipped out quick and just waiting on other parts from other venders. That is the only sad part is everything is out of stock.
Vanammo –
Like the grip much better than the actual 26 and it makes a fine pistol.

After building 3 1911’s had to do a Glock.Mostly whittled with a pocket knife The baffle plate, I had 4″ drill bit series of holes.Whittled some.Dressed with sandpaper on a dowel rod.I also use sandpaper glued to popsicle sticks on all my builds.I am not one to argue but the p80 could use a drill press for the holes drilled if the jig was bolted together Everyone knows a drill does a superior precise job over a handheld drill.Am surprised p80 does not recognize that.Gun kits are a good mechanical education.God bless America and may he protect us from people abusing the 2nd amendment.

I bought on sale the textured black version of the Polymer 80 PF940SC. It must have been a later version because there were only the two holes to drill. I have read other reviews that said there were three holes to drill like on the other larger models. Just follow directions carefully and don’t get into a hurry. Be sure to clamp the form tightly and drill the holes before you start removing the parts indicated on the frame. You might want to use your own drill bits as the ones they supply seem to be of lower quality. It’s a lot of fun to be able to pick your own parts. I used very high end parts to complete the work and the gun preforms beautifully! I tried not to get into a hurry building this gun and mostly waited for the parts to come on sale from various vendors. I’m working on a second one now and have nearly all the parts I need. I’m waiting for a good sale on a couple of parts. I am sure that I’ll have another great weapon when finished! Also the Poly80 frame fits my hand much better than the standard Glock 26! The same goes for the other two larger models I built! Fantastic build!

If you follow instructions carefully, you’ll get a good outcome. Pin hole positioning is extremely important.
Vanammo –
Just thought it might help for buyers

As always midway gave great service and sent the polymer 80% out in just a few days. This was a retirement give for a friend. He loved it.
Vanammo –
Bought this for the significant other who thinks this is “her color”. With my coaching she managed to complete it and install the lower parts kit within an hour or so. Not bad for someone who has never worked on a gun before! Still waiting on the slide but I anticipate no problems. Have already made a G17 and G19 with these kits with no issues beyond minor fitting.
Vanammo –
Better then the OEM lower!

From opening the box to having a functional firearm was about 45 mins and this was my first attempt at these. A Dremel and drill is all I used. Used the jig to drill the holes and then cut the tabs outside the jig freehand with a Dremel. It was ridiculously easy. Slide was a little stiff at first, but after 100 rounds it’s smooth as butter. As soon as these go on sale I’ll be snagging more. I’m a Glock fan boy, but these frames feel a lot better than stock frames.
Vanammo –
If you enjoy building the AR, this could easily be as much or more enjoyable. As a technician, knowing the how and why things work are both educational and entertainment. Very pleased with the product and the outcome.
Vanammo –
Pistol went together just fine. You just need to take your time and do it RIGHT!! I had NO ISSUES. So as for the 1 star reviewer who said “Nothing lines up”. He/she obviously did something wrong, rushed the process, or MAYBE just a SLIGHT MAYBE, they had an out of spec jig/frame. But I find that unlikely, considering I’ve built 5-6 of these things of every model and have never had an issue, aside the locking block being a bit tight. But rather have it tight than loose. So as long as YOU TAKE YOUR TIME, do it right , drill your holes as straight as possible, and have a decent ability with tools and constructing things. You SHOULDN’T have any issues. None that are not easily fixed anyway. I’ve built this exact model, the 17, and the 19. Have not had any issues with ANY! Excellent product!
Vanammo –
I’ve made three of the compacts with no problems. When I drilled this one, the holes weren’t even close. The frame was not in the jig correctly, it was too far back and too low. After I discovered this, I put it back in the right way nd drilled them where they should be, but now they’re oblong. Hopefully the pins will stay in. I’m including two photos to show what I did wrong.
Vanammo –
Same as the other reviewer, my jig put the holes in about 1/8″ off of where they should be. I never tried to refit it to the jig as this shouldn’t be an issue. Recommend you take the metal parts, put them along side the frame and mark where the holes should be before putting it in the jig. I’ll probably acraglass the oblong holes and paint it when I’m done fitting everything
Vanammo –
This was easy to build and worked fine with no rail sanding, using a Brownells RMR G26 slide w LW barrel. Shoots good, too. BUT this is a frame that needs texture and when I stippled it, the white color turned beige/brownish. Should have used clear textured tape instead! I would recommend buying them w texture and avoid the drama.
